Neupane’s novel Crossing Shadows launched

Author Shiwani Neupane’s second work of fiction, Crossing Shadows, has been launched during an event held at the Annapurna Hotel, Kathmandu,on Wednesday, December 23. The book was launched jointly by Anuradha Koirala, Aarzoo Deuba, Sunita Dunuwar, Sapana Pradhan Malla, and Menuka Thapa. 

Crossing Shadows chronicles the uniquely interconnected lives of a half-a-dozen characters. “The book is a powerful testament for it captures the societal malfunctions prevalent in rural Nepal by employing myriad characters from our society,” said Anuradha Koirala, Chairperson of Maiti Nepal.

“Chasing Shadows portrays human relations with the fusion of love, war, and politics,” she added.

Neupane, whodebuted with the novel Monica: Pieces of Perfect, is  one of the first authors to bring English teen fiction to the Nepali readership. The book has been published by WeRead Publications. (PR)
