Twins set U-18 semi-final clash

At the Satdobato Tennis Complex, Mayanka defeated Bibhuti Karki 6-2, 6-1, Mahika inflicted a double bagel defeat to Khushi Pandey and Ani sidelined Bijisha Shrestha 6-3, 6-4. Catherine, meanwhile, earned a walkover win from Ishika Agrawal.
Renjan Lama and Bibek Shrestha set the U-18 boys’ singles title clash with contrasting victories. While Lama eased to a 6-4, 6-0 straight set victory over Sakshyam Karki, Shrestha had to rally from a set down to beat Anthony Rai 2-6, 6-2, 7-5.
Catherine and Ani also made it to the girls’ doubles final defeating Ira Rawat and Abhilasha Bista 6-2, 6-0. The duo will meet Rana sisters in the championship clash. Lama and Karki also made it to the boys’ doubles defeating Prashant Basnet and Dipesh Khatri 7-5, 6-1. They will meet the pair of Adit Subedi and Saharsha Bibi, who beat Binaya Batas and Chhabilal Rawat 6-2, 6-2.
In the U-10 girls’ singles semi-finals, Isha Shree Shah hammered Siwangi Laxmi Shah 8-1 and Rayana Shah trounced Mandira Ale Magar 8-0. Siwangi earned some solace defeating Prasamsha Moktan 8-0 to reach the U-9 final along with Eva Adhikari, who saw off Samriddhi Shrestha 8-0.
Adit Subedi, Aarav Samrat Hada, Rijen Shrestha and Aki Juben Raut entered the U-10 boys’ singles semi-finals. The four players also reached the U-9 last four. Meanwhile, Dipesh KC, Binaya Batas, Aaryan Giri and Saharsha Chand have made it to the U-14 boys’ singles semi-finals.
