UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said he will intensify consultations with the Madhes-based parties to harmonise the language of the Constitution Amendment Bill.
He said that the agitating Madhesi Morcha would not sign any deal without an agreement on state demarcation. Receiving a memorandum from Reporters’ Club on Thursday, Dahal said he is working to seek a solution.
“I will start consultation with the Madhes-based parties on Friday to seek a consensus on the Amendment Bill,” the Maoist chief said.
Dahal added there would be efforts to form a cross-party committee to take a final decisions on the demarcation. “The Madhes-based parties should agree to settle it within next three months,” he said.
