Ansari leads Holyland to win over TCC

Holyland defeated Tikapur Cricket Club (TCC) by 37 runs with an allround performance from opener Shahid Ansari. SCC eased to a 78-run victory over Dhamboji Sports Club in the second match of the day.
In the 17-over-a-side game, Holyland made 137-2 with Ansari making an unbeaten 55 from 54 balls with six boundaries. Ansari shared 44 runs for the first wicket with Khursid Khan (14), 36 for the second Pranit Thapa (21) and an unbeaten 57 with Samsuddin Ansari who made 31 runs in 14 balls with four boundaries and a six.
TCC were restricted to 100-9 with man-of-the-match Ansari taking 3-28. Rabish Sharma and Gaurav Regmi also took two wickets each. Subash Singh Thakuri was the lone fighter for TCC with a run-a-ball 30 that included five fours.
SCC build on to a 42-run opening wicket stand by Sushant Singh Thapa and Tek Salami to make 131-5 in the match reduced to 15 overs. Dhamboji were folded for 53-9 with only Babin Gurung (16) scoring in double figures. Ashish Pokharel (3-7) and Salami (3-3) shared six wickets between them.
Earlier, Thapa made 26 off 18 with three fours and a six, while man-of-the-match Salami hit two sixes and a four in his run-a-ball 20. Jitendra Bahadur Shah picked up two wickets for the losing side.
