The current edition of Kalaka Kura, which is organised on the second Wednesday every month, saw eminent Paubha artist Purna Prasad Hyoju engage in dialogue with journalist Sangeeta Shrestha.
Speaking during the event, artist Hyoju informed the audience about his journey into the Paubha. “During my early days as a Pauva artist, I would emulate the technique that was used during 12th to 17th century. Growing up as an Paubha artist, I gradually established my original craft,” he said.
Hyoju has been able to carve his own niche during his long journey as an Paubha artist, said Roshan Mishra, the director of Taragaun Museum.
The event also saw the presence of other artists and art journlaists such as Nagendra Prasad Poudyal, Shyam Rimal, Keshav Raj Khanal, Devendra Thumkeli, and Binita Marhatta, among others.
