Expedite Upper Trishuli-1 PDA: Heo

KATHMANDU: Korea South-East Power Co CEO Heo Yup met Energy Minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi and urged him to accelerate project development agreement (PDA) for Upper Trishuli-1 Hydro-electric Project. Heo, who is currently in Kathmandu, in a mission to monitor the overall progress made on the project, also visited to Dail Community on Thursday and distributed Rs500,000 to the community. Located in Rasuwa district with an installed capacity of 216MW, the project is being developed by Korea South-East Power Co, Daelim Industrial Co and Kyeryong Construction Industrial Co, local sponsor, and IFC through Nepal Water and Energy Development Company. In the aftermath of the April, May earthquake, Korea South-East Power Co handed over $50,000 to the Nepali Ambassador in Seoul on May 21, 2015. Moreover, with having MOUs with government entities worth of $400,000, the Hydro company distributed 37.7 tonnes of rice to 861 households living in temporary shelter, distributed 1,452 litres of cooking oil to the internally displaced persons, supported to construct  265 temporary shelters by distributing 1,555 tonnes of CGI sheets. Bank of Kathmandu’s CSR initiative

KATHMANDU: Bank of Kathmandu (BoK) Limited distributed blankets to 370 families in Jajarkot and Solukhumbu districts. The distribution was undertaken in coordination with social organisations—Women for Human Rights (Baluwatar) and Being Homosapiens. BoK CEO Prabin Prakash Chhetri handed over the blankets to the organisations. The bank has been actively involved in serving the society through its corporate social responsibility initiatives in various sectors of Education, Health and Environment since its establishment. Sanima Bank names brand ambassadors

KATHMANDU: Sanima Bank Limited and Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya (Maha), popular artists and civil activists, have reached an agreement, under which Maha will continue as the bank’s brand ambassadors for two more years. They have been the bank’s brand ambassadors for the last four years. The contract in this regard was signed on Thursday by Shrestha, Acharya and Bhuvan Dahal, Chief Executive Officer of Sanima Bank. Dahal said the entire Sanima Bank family was pleased to continue its association with the artists. On the same occasion, Maha also expressed their happiness to be associated with a strong and reliable bank like Sanima. During the course of their alliance with Sanima, Maha will be associated with various promotional activities of Sanima like Television Commercials (TVC), Radio Jingles, Newspaper advertisements and public appearances.
