Seto Bagh screening today

Alliance Française de Kathmandu (AFK) is all set to screen Seto Bagh (The White Tiger) at its premises today, Feb 18.

Seto Bagh is based on the 1973 historical novel, penned by Diamond Shumsher. 

The film chronicles the last 30 days of the then prime minister Jung Bahadur Rana. The movie, helmed by the eminent director Nir Shah had hit theatres across Nepal in 2014 and stars BS Rana, Rajaram Poudel, Rabi Giri, Shyam Rai and Anjana Kattel. 

The screening at AFK will be followed by a discussion with the director. Nir Shah, a 

powerhouse of the Nepali movie industry, is the director of acclaimed movies as Masaan, Aakal, and is the co-producer of Himalaya— L’enfance d’un chef, which went on to get a nod for the Academy Awards, becoming the first Nepali film to receive the coveted accolade.

The screening will be held at the Alliance Française de Katmandu, in Banshi Ghat Marg, Teku road, Tripureshwor, starting at 4:30. The entry is free.
