DPM urges US investors to invest in road sector

“So far, most of the investments in the infrastructure sector in Nepal have come from neighbouring countries. So I would like to invite investors from the US to
invest here,” he said, inaugurating a session during
the Inspire Nepal 2016 Business Forum and Expo. He said Nepal would upgrade all its highways within the next five years.
Claiming the promulgation of the Constitution has created better investment climate, the deputy prime minister asked investors from within the country and abroad
to make investment without any fear.
Speaking at a plenary session titled “Government Agenda for 2016 and Beyond”, Commerce Secretary Naindra Upadhyaya said his ministry in collaboration with the private sector has been working to increase exports of Nepali products.
Yam Kumari Khatiwada, joint-secretary of the
Industry Ministry said the government is planning to establish an industrial estate in each province.
The three-day event organised by House of Rajkarnicar and supported by the US embassy, was attended by senior government officials, diplomats and representatives from the private sector.
