Two policemen died in an accident at Madhupatti-9 in Saptari district along the East-West Highway on Saturday evening.
The accident took place when a motorcycle (Ba 2 Pa 8587) headed east collided with a truck (Na 4 Kha 1430) coming from the opposite direction.
Police identified the deceased as constables Suraj Chaudhary of Sunsari and Sitaram Khadka of Udaypur. Police are interrogating the truck driver about the incident.
The pillion rider of a motorcycle (on test) died at Bhardaha in Saptari on Friday. Police said Pappu Majhi, 19, of Bhardaha-1 was killed when the two-wheeler was hit by a tractor. Injured motorcyclist Sandesh Mandal is receiving care in Biratnagar.
In Sarlahi, two persons riding a motorcycle (Na 26 Pa 5267) died when an Indian jeep (B 744 F 5267) hit them on the Lalbandi section of the East-West Highway on Saturday. Police identified the deceased as Narayan Niraula, 32, and his wife Urmila of Janakinagar-4. Police said their four-year-old daughter Kritika was seriously hurt.
In Salyan, 36-year-old Mohan BC of Baghchaur Municipality-1 died in a motorbike accident at Molkha on the Rapti Highway.
