Sculpture exhibition Rebirth at NAC
The exhibit features 11 of the artist’s oeuvre that are based on themes—dreams, pain and the basic human experience. The exhibit features 11 of the artist’s oeuvre that are based on themes such as dreams, pain and the basic human experience.
Moreover, the featured artwork also say much about the complexities of life—they revolve around the current status of women in society and the dreams they are forced to forgo in course of their life. “Bishal’s works are the artistic expression of despair—in doing so, Bishal paints a vivid picture of the inner-workings of the society in general,” says youth sculptor Kushal Kumar Magar.
“Upon a closer look it is evident that Bishal’s work reflects the quality of an artwork that have materialised after much hard work and diligence,” says eminent artist Shanta Kumar Rai, “I believe there is a very bright future for Bishal if he continues to do what he is doing.”
“Sculpturing has helped me tremendously in understanding life better,” says artist Bishal Saru Magar, “the artwork on display are attempts to express the ups and downs I have faced during the life I have lived so far.”
The exhibition will be on till Saturday, March 19.
