Panchthar trader found murdered

Police said the body of 33-year-old Dinesh Regmi was found among the bush with what appeared to be a gunshot wound in his head. He had left for Saptami Bazaar on his motorcycle on Monday afternoon. Regmi’s family had contacted police after he did not return home that evening and could not be reached on his phone. Police recovered Regmi’s motorcycle and mobile phone nearly one kilometre East from the site where his body was found.
Krishna Prasad Koirala, the Panchthar district police chief, said they were investigating into the case, but did not give any details. Police have sent Regmi’s body for autopsy.
Three arrested on murder charge
Police have arrested three suspects behind the murder of 51-year-old Khem Bahadur Baniya that occurred on the premises of Udayapur Cement Factory 14 months ago. Tika Prasad Acharya, Prem Dorje Sherpa and Arbninda Bogati were made public at the District Police Office on Wednesday. Baniya, who worked as a security guard in a bank, was found murdered on 2 February, 2015.
