In the first game of the day, Hasanpur appeared to be out of the contest after posting a lowly 68 runs in 16.4 overs. However, Hasanpur, who lead the five-team standings with 10 points from seven matches, had to battle hard to surpass the total in 16.5 overs. Hasanpur are third with eight points from as many matches.
Only Bhim Sarki (16) and Prakash Thapa (12) scored in double figures for Hasanpur. Chandra Saud, Sagar Bhandari and Shiv Raj Ayer claimed two wickets each for Campus Road. In reply, Campus Road too lost wickets at regular intervals but man-of-the-match Santosh Bhatt remained calm to guide his team to victory with an unbeaten 27 runs. Bhatt struck four boundaries in his fluent 28-ball innings. Binod Lama was pick of the Hasanpur bowlers with figures of 4-7 from four overs. Bikram Thagunna and Basant Singh Karki also took one wicket apiece for Hasanpur.
In the second match, Attariya won the last-ball thriller to beat Chauraha by three wickets. Chasing 120, Attariya scored the winning runs in the last ball of their 20-over innings. Allrounder Mehboob Alam smashed 31 -ball 43 with four sixes and two boundaries, while Gyanendra Kunwar scored 26 runs. Aman Panthi claimed 3-22 for Chauraha.
Earlier, Bipin Rawal top scored for Chauraha with run-a-ball 23, while Dipendra Thapa (19) and Dipesh Chand (13) also chipped in valuable runs to help post 119-7 in 20 overs. Man-of-the-match Kunwar completed a superb four-over spell that yielded three wickets for 12 runs. Binod Bhandari also picked up 2-17.
