Each member of the World Cup squad that made it to the quarter-finals in Bangladesh were provided with Rs 100,000. The team members of the ICC U-19 World Cup Qualifiers received Rs 50,000 apiece. Nepal had qualified for their seventh U-19 World Cup appearance in October by winning Qualifiers.
Skipper Raju Rijal, Aarif Sheikh, Sunil Dhamala, Sandeep Sunar, Yogendra Singh Karki, Rajbir Singh, Dipendra Airee, Shankar Rana, Prem Tamang, Sushil Kandel, Dipesh Shrestha and Kushal Bhurtel received Rs 150,000 each.
Sandeep Lamichhane, Ishan Pandey and Himanshu Dutta were only the part of World Cup squad and got Rs 100,000. Saurav Khanal and Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi received Rs 50,000 apiece as member of the Qualifiers’ team. Coach Jagat Tamatta and physiotherapist Dinesh Bhatta got Rs 150,000 each.
Assistant coach Binod Das and technical analyst Raman Shiwakoti were the part of the World Cup squad and got Rs 100,000 each. The government also honoured trail runner Mira Rai with Rs 100,000 and bodybuilder Ruzesh Shahi with Rs 35,000 for the feats in their respective fields.
