The Department of Foreign Employment had demanded that the bail amount be set at Rs 3,000,000 for Lama.
Lama, who was arrested on March 13 following the recovery of 14 bullets from his bank locker during CIAA investigation, was freed on March 21 (Monday) after he paid Rs 66,750 in bail. But he was arrested immediately on a fraud case.
Talking briefly to journalists while stepping out of the department office in Buddhanagar, Kathmandu, Lama said he has been a victim of injustice. “I have become a victim of injustice. The department didn’t hear my plea,” said Lama, adding, “I will put forth my issues by organising a press meet.”
