According to a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the District Development Office, Kaski, and the embassy in Kathmandu on Thursday, a campus building will be constructed for Gupteshwor Mahadev Multiple Campus in Pokhara at an estimated cost of Rs 40 million. Likewise the embassy will fund the construction of school buildings for Saraswati Tika Higher Secondary School in Bharatpokhari. The school building will cost an estimated Rs 37 million. The Indian mission in Nepal has also pledged Rs 37 million to construct the school building of Arba Bijaya Secondary School and Dhand Bensi.
India has extended financial assistance worth nearly Rs 501.53 million towards
restoration, and upgradation of various religious, educational, cultural and historical sites in Nepal, the embassy said in a statement.
