Deputy Prime Minister Kamal Thapa has said there is still the possibility of reviving Hindu state and monarchy in Nepal.Deputy Prime Minister Kamal Thapa has said there is still the possibility of reviving Hindu state and monarchy in Nepal.
Speaking at an interaction in Ghorahi, Dang, on Saturday, Thapa claimed that Hindu state and monarchy could be incorporated in the republican constitution with people’s consent.
The Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal chief said his party had joined the government without giving up its demands for declaring Nepal a Hindu state and restoring constitutional monarchy. “We will raise these issues in the upcoming elections. There’s no need to take up arms or obstruct border points to press these demands,” said Thapa, who is also the foreign minister.
Stating that his party was also dissatisfied with the new constitution, Thapa said the RPP-Nepal accepted the statute respecting the views of the majority.
