Morang
Security personnel in Morang recovered seven improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from the site where a teenager was seriously wounded in an explosion on Monday.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Sandeep Bhandari said they found the IEDs at Budhanagar VDC-5 when they reached there after receiving report that a local boy had been caught in an explosion. The incident site is close to Nepal-India border.
Seventeen-year-old Rupesh Mandal was fishing in a ditch when the explosive went off, wounding him on his arms and body. He was taken to Koshi Zonal Hospital for treatment.
A bomb disposal squad of the Nepal Army was called to deactivate the IEDs, SP Bhandari said.
