The Women’s National League Football kicks off at the Anfa Complex turf in Satdobato on April 17, the football governing body announced on Thursday.
Five regional teams and three departmental clubs—Nepal Armed Police Force (APF) Club, Tribhuvan Army
Club (TAC) and Nepal Police Club (NPC)—will battle it
out for the Rs 2,00,000 top prize. The league, which also gives away Rs 1,00,000 to the runners-up, concludes on April 28.
The eight teams are divided into two pools of four with top two teams from each group to qualify for the Super League. The Pool A comprises of defending champions NPC, Eastern, Mid-Western and Central Region, while Pool B consists of Western, Far-Western, APF Club and last year’s runners-up TAC.
