Parliamentarians representing different political parties have expressed commitment to take initiative to allocate at least 20 per cent of the total budget for the education sector to ensure quality of public education.
At a programme organised by the National Campaign for Education (NCE) Nepal on Thursday, parliamentarian Gangalal Tuladhar, who is also the chief of CPN-UML’s Education Department, said that he would draw the attention of next house meeting to the budget for the education sector. Similarly, NC parliamentarians Jeevan Pariyar and Bharat Bahadur Khadka also called for increasing budget for the education sector.
