Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed concern over the delay in finalising the parliamentary regulations by the Regulation Drafting Committee (RDC) of Parliament.

During a meeting with Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar on Thursday, PM Oli said the delay was affecting various government appointments, sending out a negative message about the parliamentary practice.

PM Oli told Gharti that his party, CPN-UML, was ready to adopt alternatives to narrow down the differences. “The PM said that his party is ready to take necessary initiatives for resolving contention in the draft so that the parliamentary regulations could be immediately finalised,” said PM’s press adviser Pramod Dahal.

Speaker Gharti is scheduled to meet main opposition party Nepali Congress President Sher Bhadur Deuba on Friday.
