An unbeaten 49-ball 100 from Yadav lifted Golden Gate, led by national team skipper Paras Khadka, to 217-3. LBEF were restricted to 101-9. In another match, Heartland College hammered VS Niketan by 114 runs.
Yadav smashed a hapless LBEF bowling attack for 10 fours and six sixes. He shared 121 runs for the second wicket with Paresh Lohani, who made 46 off 50 with six fours.
LBEF lost wickets at regular intervals with Sanjay Shrestha picking up 3-21. Rabindra Chand top scored for LBEF with a 45-ball 39 with three fours and two sixes.
Heartland amassed 172-7 with a quickfire half century from national team cricketer Pradeep Airee. VS were skittled out for just 58 runs in 13.5 overs after Abhinash Adhikari took three wickets.
Airee was at the heart of Heartland innings making a 50-ball 80 before he was dismissed in the last over. Mahesh Chhetri (24) and Bhupendra Chhetri (30) also chipped in valuable runs.
Airee single handedly guided his side to a big total hitting 11 fours and two sixes. Sandeep Goit took 2-15 for VS. The losing side didn’t have a single batsman crossing double digits in the game.
