White House were restricted to a below-par 116-9 in 20 overs after they were put in to bat first. Santwana made the most of their experienced batting line up to reach 120-1 in 16.5 overs.
Santwana had a perfect start when Prakash Bista and Naresh Budhayer added 70 runs in 9.3 overs providing the momentum to the team’s chase. Budhayer made a 31-ball 38 with five fours and a six before Pradeep Tandon had him stumped by Aakash Thapa.
Bista completed a successful chase adding another unbroken 50-run stand with Hashim Ansari (15 not out). Man-of-the-match Bista stroked five fours and a six in his 51-ball 53 not out.
Earlier, Avinash Bohora, Sushan Bhari Shrestha and Puspa Thapa picked up two wickets each to put brakes on White House innings. No 8 batsman Pawan Sharaf pushed his side towards triple figures with an unbeaten 28 off 18 balls hitting two fours and a six.
Tandon and Samir Nepal scored 17 runs each, while opener Dilip Nath (14) was the remaining White House batsman to make runs in double figures. Avinash Karn and Bista also had one scalp apiece for Santwana.
Meanwhile, the second quarter-final game between Capital College and Research Centre and Saipal had to be called off due to rain. The match will be played early on Thursday.
In other matches on Thursday, Golden Gate will take on Heartland and Triton are up against Sudur Paschimanchal Academy.
