Volunteers collected 12 tonnes of solid waste from Manohara River and its banks under the Clean Bagmati Campaign which completed its 156th week on Saturday.
The clean-up campaign, led by former chief secretary Leela Mani Poudyal, Nepal Academy Chancellor Ganga Prasad Upreti, chairperson of Upreti Samaj Dr Ramprasad Upreti, comedian Sitaram Kattel (popularly known by his serial name Dhurmus) were among the participants in the activities around Manohara confluence on Saturday. The campaign will focus its activities around Sankhamul Bridge next week.
