Among the various themes that the paintings exhibit are love, worldly complexities—apparent from the portraits of a couple hugging each other and through a portrait of a horse and a woman together, which serve as a metaphor to illustrate the battle one has to fight against the society.
“The exhibit is my attempt to shed light on such abstractions as happiness, despair, love, beauty and complexities one deals with in his lifetime,” says artist Bantawa.
Bantawa’s work has been showcased in more than a dozen countries around the world.
The exhibit is being organised by Comm-unity Culture Center in Hong Kong.
