Indian aid to build school
The Government of India (GoI) has extended financial support to build a school in Gulmi district.The Government of India (GoI) has extended financial support to build a school in Gulmi district.
According to the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed for the construction of Shree Dharachaur Lower Secondary School at Purkotdaha in Gulmi at an estimated cost of Rs 16.8 million. The MoU was signed by Gyanveer Singh, second secretary, Embassy
of India, Kathmandu, Dila Ram Panthi, Local Development Officer, Gulmi and Khim Bahadur KC, principal of the school.
The Construction of the school is being funded by the GoI under its Small Development Programme Scheme as part of India-Nepal Economic Cooperation Programme, according to the embassy.
Shree Dharachaur Lower Secondary School, established in 1952, is located at a very remote and backward area of Gulmi district of Nepal.
