New govt to implement budget: Dahal
May 27, 2016-
CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal has claimed that a national unity government led by his party would be formed to implement the new budget to be presented by the incumbent KP Sharma Oli-led Cabinet.
Speaking at a conference organised by the Chitwan chapter of Revolutionary Journalists Association here on Thursday, Dahal said a new government was essential for the implementation of the constitution and conclusion of the peace process. Dahal hinted that he would lead the new government. He, however, underscored the need for a consensus government.
“Due to the present political situation and the nine-point agreement reached with the CPN-UML, there is the possibility of forming a new government under my leadership,” said the former prime minister. In another context, the Maoist chief asserted that conflict-era cases should be resolved as per the spirit of the peace process.
