DPM discusses Nepal-Israel ties in Jerusalem

Thapa said that Nepal and Israel enjoy a long history of cordial relations. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Thapa noted that Nepal was the first South Asian country to recognise the existence of Israel by maintaining continued diplomatic relations since 1960.
Addressing a round-table organised by the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce, DPM Thapa said that there was now an overwhelming consensus in Nepal on economic growth, having promulgated the constitution
last year. He invited investments in the sectors of manufacturing, hydropower, tourism, IT, mining and agro-based industries.
