Bridging the countries through arts
Nepal Art Council, Babarmahal, is currently hosting an art exhibition, titled Divine Nature, which boasts works by a total of 11 artists, hailing from India and Nepal.Nepal Art Council, Babarmahal, is currently hosting an art exhibition, titled Divine Nature, which boasts works by a total of 11 artists, hailing from India and Nepal. The exhibit, organised by Kala Charcha, was inaugurated on Monday by Chancellor of Nepal Academy of Fine Arts Ragini Upadhyay.
“The exhibit, by bridging the archetypical bond of Nepali and Indian arts and culture, could well go its way to further strengthen the bond between the two neighbouring countries,” said Upadhyay, speaking during the opening.
The works by the Indian artists range from issues such as environment to Indian culture.
The exhibit features artworks by artists such as Tarachandra Sharma, Kiran Saran, Mamata Rokna, Bindu Dawar Saluja, Rajani hatwal and Sohan Puniya, among otehrs. The exhibit will run through Thursday, June 9.
