Police fix quarter-finals clash with Army

Bijay Shrestha scored a 72nd minute winner as NPC topped the pool with four points. NPC will play Group ‘B’ runners-up TAC and Morang will take on Lumbini.
Morang coach Uttar Kumar Khawas admitted his side played for a draw but succumbed to the consistent pressure exerted by NPC. NPC coach Ananta Thapa said the match went according to plan.
Far Western FC topped Group ‘C’ with a 2-1 win over Club Sankata. They finished top of the table with four points. Skipper Kamal Deuba opened the scoring for Far West in the 55th minute before Suman Dangol levelled the scores in the 80th. Deependra Budha converted an 87th minute winning penalty. Far West will play Group ‘A’ runners Jhapa XI and Sankata will be up against Group ‘A’ winners Manang Marshyangdi Club.
