Fifty seven households of Ramitkhola Village in Morang have been provided solar lights free of cost.
CPN-UML lawmaker Rajya Laxmi Golchha provided Rs 350,000 from her Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme, the District Development Committee Morang released Rs 350,000 and the Ramit-khola Village Development Committee invested Rs 70,000 to purchase the solar lamps.
The village is yet to be connected to the central electricity transmission grid, according to UML Morang district secretariat member Man Bahadur Shrestha said.
