Maithali Drama Fest concludes

The Maithali Drama Fest-2073 saw the screening of two plays, Maathak Moll and Daasi Jeevan, on its second day on Tuesday in Janakpur.

Mathak Moll (The Price of a Head), produced by the Jhorahat Samuha, is adapted from a folklore popular in the region. The story, originally in Nepali, was 

translated into Maithali for the staging. The play was directed by Bharat Guragain.

The fest also saw the performance of the play Daasi Jeevan, produced by Pratibinbha group. 

The third and the final day of the fest saw staging of plays such as Shailesh Jha directed Bajjar 

Khasau Ehan Jaatipur, Sagar Singh directed Kathak Lok and Ghimire Yubaraj’s Sakhi. 

The plays closed the three-day fest on Wednesday.
