Sadbhawana Party Co-chairman Laxman Lal Karna said that the strike, which began as a form of peaceful protest against the constitution and the government, would end on Friday.
The decision follows written commitments from the Nepali Congress and the CPN (Maoist Centre), which have joined forces to topple the government led by KP Sharma Oli, to address the demands of the Madhes-based parties.
Karna told the Post that the protesting Madhes-based parties were ready to join the new government once the constitution adopted last year is amended.
In protests over the charter adopted last year, more than 50 people, including security persons, died.
