NSJF Sports Award gets co-sponsor

Founder Chairman of Jawalakhel Group of Industries Bijay Kumar Shah and NSJF President Mahesh Acharya signed the memorandum of understanding on Sunday. The group will provide annual Rs 400,000 to organise the Award. This year’s Award is on July 21.
Shah lauded the role NSJF for honouring the sporting individuals. He said: “You have been doing the job which I believe is the responsibility of the government. We also take it as our responsibility to be part of this,” said Shah adding that they would look forward to continue the tie-up beyond three years. NSJF President Acharya thanked the generosity of corporate houses to make the event a success.
NSJF honours the sports personalities for their achievement in the past one year. It has already announced five nominees each in the male, female, youth and coach of the year categories as well as the people’s choice award. The winners of Lifetime Achievement, Special and Para-athlete of the Year will be declared directly during the award function on July 21.
