A meeting of top leaders of the Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Centre) and the Madhes-based parties on Friday decided to vote in favour of the no-trust motion against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
At the meeting held at the Parliamentary Party office of the NC in Singha Durbar, Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba urged Madhesi leaders to join the new government.
Sadbhawana Party leader Manish Suman said the Samyukta Loktantri Madhesi Morcha asked NC and Maoist leadership to come up with a clear stance on the Morcha’s 11-point demand. Suman, however, said Morcha would not join the government.
The Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum-Nepal on Friday also decided not to join the new government.
