4 hurt in forest office attack

MAHOTTARI: An unidentified gang of assailants attacked a range unit of the Sagarnath Forest Development Project in Mahottari on Sunday night. Ramchandra Yadav and three other employees were injured in the attack. They are receiving treatment at Bardibas Hospital. According to the victims, five assailants, who came on a Tata Sumo, barged into the office while others encircled it at around 8pm. (PR)

Transport strike called off

KANCHANPUR: The transport strike enforced by eight bus entrepreneurs’ committees in the far-western region for the past two days was called off on Monday. Transportation resumed from the early morning after an understanding was reached in a late night all-party meeting. The strike was called to protest Badimalika Transport Pvt Ltd operating bus service in the region. The authorities have agreed to invite the representatives of Badimalika Transport for talks and release those arrested for enforcing strike. (RSS)
