Abducted 5-year-old from Bihar rescued in Morang
A five-year-old girl, who was abducted from her hometown in Bihar state of India, was rescued from Pathari in Morang district on Monday. Deputy Inspector General Nawaraj Silwal, of Central Investigation Bureau, said the girl was abducted from Katihari in Kurshela district of Bihar while she was returning home after school.
The kidnappers had first kept the girl in a hotel in Bhedetar before bringing her to Pathari. She was being held hostage in a house owned by one Rita Sah.
DIG Silwal said they have arrested one Dinesh Gupta in connection to the kidnapping.
Police are after Mithun Paswan, the main suspect and a former driver at the girl’s house. DIG Keshari Raj Ghimire, the chief of Eastern Regional Police Office, said they had followed Gupta for over 18 hours before capturing him.
