Janakpur
Chairman of Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum Nepal Upendra Yadav has warned that he would ratchet up the issue of scrapping of the constitution if the demands of the agitating Madhesi parties are not addressed through the constitutional amendment.
Speaking at a party programme in Janakpur on Saturday, Yadav expressed hope that the CPN-UML would agree to amend constitution to address the issues of Madhesi parties. “We are not obliged to accept the constitution if the UML refuses to make necessary amendments,” he added. The Madhes-based parties had earlier said they would make its position clear after analysing the joint commitments the NC and the Maoists make to revising the federal boundaries.
