Japan honours contribution of individuals, organisations

The Embassy of Japan in Kathmandu has conferred Ambassadorial Certificates of Appreciation (ACA) on four Nepali individuals and as many organisations for their contribution in strengthening Nepal-Japan ties.

Dr Ranjeet S Baral, senior consultant cardiologist; Minae HATA founder, Yomogi no Kai; Takeshi NAITO, professor, Department of Ophthalmology, Institute of Health Biosciences at the University of Tokushima Graduate School and Raman Raj Misra, instructor of Applied Sociology for Renewable Energy Engineering at Pulchowk Engineering Campus are the four individuals who were conferred with the certificates, according to a statement issued by the embassy. Similarly, Hazama Ando Corporation, Nippon Koei Co, Ltd, Nepal AOTS Alumni Society and Tokushima Nepal Friendship Association are the four organisations that were honoured. 

The certificates were conferred by Japanese Ambassador Masashi Ogawa on Friday the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Nepal- Japan friendship.

Ambassador Ogawa expressed his confidence that the recipients’ cooperation and ongoing contributions will continue to play a significant role in strengthening the friendly and cordial relationship between Japan and Nepal, both at the country-to-country and people-to-people levels.

According to the embassy, the ACA is awarded to any individuals or organisations in a variety of capacities who have contributed to the activities of Japan’s diplomatic missions.
