M&S food fest serves up a storm
The fest featured Newari-themed food stalls and live performance by the folk ensemble KutumbaThe third iteration of VMAG Weekends saw the Apex Digital M&S VMAG Food Fest extravaganza at the Summit Hotel in Kupondole, on Saturday. The event featured, among others, numerous food stalls, and a live performance by the folk band Kutumba.
“We aim to provide the visitors a wholesome Newari food experience through this event,” said chef at the Summit Hotel, Pasang Lama. “The food plate contains among others, popular Newari food items such as baara, chatamari, chhoila, and yomari, along with four other items.”
The first edition of the M&S VMAG Weekends saw artist Sujan Chitrakar and educator Shrareh Bajracharya recant their stories of struggle and struggle in Radisson Hotel, last month.
Similarly, the second edition of the event hosted a discussion among Nepali tourism entrepreneurs and pioneers about the current picture of tourism in the country and its future possibilities. M&S VMAG has been hosting events at select venues with one of four areas of focus—agenda discussions, entertainment, ‘Inspire’ and food—each subsequent weekend.
Speaking to the Post, Alok Thapa, who hosted the event along with Oshin Sitaula, said, “While we, M&S VMAG, as a lifestyle entity, have been featuring issues of public interest through print and broadcast, through this new endeavour aim to take the issues to the masses so that they can experience what they have seen or read on their own.”
The M&S VMAG Weekend series will continue for 16 weeks.
