Barnawal clinches championship

Competing in the above 80kg weight division, Barnawal pipped Maheshwor Maharjan of Shapes Fitness, who was competing in the below 80kg division. Competing in the 75kg division, Umesh Rai of Greenwich Fitness of Jhapa finished overall third. The champions received Rs 500,000 while the second-placed bodybuilder got Rs 200,000 and third-placed Rai earned 75,000.
Ramhari Khanal (70kg) ended up fourth, Ram Bahadur Dahal (65kg) fifth, Sanjeev Kumar Shrestha (60kg) sixth and Kamal Bhandari (55kg) seventh. All seven bodybuilder made it to the final round after winning their respective weight division.
Suresh Gurung finished second and Sabin Maharjan third in the 55kg weight division behind winners Bhandari. Likewise, Ashish Dewaju and Ramesh Karki ended up second and third respectively in the 60kg division, while Anil Lal Shrestha and Bikash Dhimal claimed the second and third place in 65kg category.
Rajesh Magar stood second and Kiran Yadav third in the 70kg category, while Nabin Rana and Prabesh Shrestha claimed the second and third place in the 75kg division. Tul Bahadur Shrestha ended up second and Naresh Malakar third in the 80kg category. Prakash Rai finished second and Girish Maharjan third in the above 80kg weight division. The bodybuilders finishing in second and third in their respectively weight division also walked away with Rs 25,000 and Rs 15,000 each.
