Elite football coaching course begins

In all, 30 coaches are taking part in the five-day course conducted by Fifa Instructor Figge of Germany, who led Nepal to the South Asian Games gold medal in 1984 in Kathmandu.
Figge said that Nepal holds a special place for him. “I am happy to be back in Nepal. I have been monitoring Nepali football very closely and believe they have potentials to do far better. You should not limit playing in the neighbouring region but should look for the opportunity to play beyond that. But for that to happen you need to work hard,” said Figge.
Acting Anfa President Narendra Shrestha expressed gratitude towards Fifa for providing the opportunity to organise the Fifa course. “I have pleased to have the man to conduct the course that gave us the first international silverware. Football is a dynamic game. Football have come a long way since 1984. Hopefully all the participants will make the most of the opportunity and implement the it in practice in future,” said Shrestha. Anfa Technical Director Chiaki Takeda was also present on the occasion.
The participant coaches include Bal Gopal Maharjan, Hari Khadka, Rajendra Tamang, Rabindra Silakar, Megh Raj KC, Sunil Kumar Shrestha, Chet Narayan Shrestha, Yam Prasad Gurung, Nabin Neupane, Chhiring Lopsang Gurung, Bikash Gauchan, Darshan Bhakaraj, Pasang Tamang, Paras Chaudhary, Kumar Thapa, Binod Lama, Kishor Kumar KC, Urjan Shrestha, Ramesh Maharjan, Bijay Maharjan, Hari Om Shrestha, Raj Kumar KC, Salyan Khadgi, Chun Bahadur Thapa, Sanjeet Singh, Mangal Maharjan, Purushottam Thapa, Sanoj Shrestha, Mrigendra Mishra and Aruna Gurung
