Bishnuchowk community mourns death of fallen rifleman

The community of Bishnuchowk, Dharan, mourned the death of Bimal Tamang, a rifleman in the Indian Army who was killed on Monday in a ceasefire violation from the Pakistani side along the Line of Control in the Rajouri sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
Bimal, 21, was the only son of Bal Bahadur and Nirmaya Tamang.
His father, Bal Bahadur, said his son became a martyr at a young age and the family plans to perform his funeral according to their tradition in Dharan.
“We have asked the Indian Army to send his Astu (remains) home by November 7 for the funeral,” said Bal Bahadur.
Meanwhile, the Indian Army organised a military send-off for Bimal.
According to the Indian Army’s statement, Bimal was a dedicated, brave and sincere soldier, a thorough professional who loved his job to the core.
