The two leaders on Friday afternoon met at Speaker Onasari Gharit’s office.
UML leaders have been claiming that the government has yet to bring an official proposal on the table for statute amendment.
According to Oli’s Press Adviser Pramod Dahal, the duo on Friday dwelt on charter amendment and an impeachment motion against Lokman Singh Karki, the suspended chief commissioner of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority. The two leaders also shared that the Nepali Congress should be brought on board to successfully conclude the impeachment proposal against Karki, according to Pramod.
Oli is learnt to have told PM Dahal that the country’s political course would be determined only after the conclusion of the impeachment proposal.
During the meeting, PM Dahal proposed that the major parties should come together to amend the constitution to address the concerns raised by the agitating forces and to hold elections.
