NEEK Electro-Tech 2016, an international electrical-electronic exhibition and symposium, is slated to open at Bhrikuti Mandap Exhibition Hall on November 18.
The event, which is in its eighth edition, is being organized by the Federation of Electrical Entrepreneurs of Nepal (FEEN), an organization of entrepreneurs involved in electrical and electronic goods and services.
The five-day exhibition is expected to contribute to the development of Nepal’s trade, business and industrial sector by creating a conducive business environment, FEEN said.
Backing up the national priority of reconstruction, this year’s NEEK Electro-Tech has as its theme ‘Safety in Rebuilding’ to stress the use of safe and durable electrical and power products in new constructions.
National and international manufacturers, exporters, importers, agencies, dealers, contractors, engineers, experts, designers, policy makers, technicians and buyers will form a mega platform for trade, investment opportunities and market information, the organizer said. “The exhibiting companies will display their latest products and new technological developments in the electrical and electronic sector.”
The exhibition will showcase power generating equipment, transmission and distribution line materials, power supply and control equipment, domestic and industrial electrification, electric household appliances, office automation, solar equipment and other electrical accessories.
The exhibition also has a sales area where visitors can buy different electric and electronic products.

The event has NIC Asia Bank as the official bank, Siddhartha Insurance as the official insurance company and Pan Pacific Shipping and Logistic as the official carrier.
This biggest electrical and electronic exhibition in Nepal will house 114 stalls and blocks which have all been booked by around 85 national and international exhibitors, the organizer said.
There will be around 100 local and foreign brands such as Schneider, Legrand, HPL, C&S, Philips, Havells, Siemens, L&T, Crompton, Usha, Electra-Electric, Orient, NEEK, CG, Himstar, Rathi and others at the expo.
