New school building of MIS inaugurated
The school hopes to keep the tradition of providing quality education in the best environment as it has been doing for 38 years
Nov 24, 2016-Indian Ambassador Ranjit Rae and yoga guru Swami Ramdev on Wednesday inaugurated the new school building of Modern Indian School (MIS) amid a ceremony in Chobhar, Kathmandu. The foundation stone of the school building was laid in March 2010 by then Indian Ambassador Rakesh Sood and Swami Ramdev.
“In line with our pursuit of excellence in education, a new school block to accommodate more students and provide an ideal environment for quality learning has been constructed,” the school said in a press statement. “With this new venture, the school hopes to keep the tradition of providing quality education in the best environment.”Established 38 years ago, MIS has always been a front face of the Indian diaspora of Nepal, bringing the Nepali and Indian communities together.
Acharya Balkrishna, a close aide to Swami Ramdev, was also present. School Principal Raju Peter, Headmistress Maya Rana and other dignitaries also attended the inauguration ceremony.
