Maoist politburo to settle internal issues
Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the party should be unified and strengthened to ensure implementation of the constitution adopted last year.Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the party should be unified and strengthened to ensure implementation of the constitution adopted last year.
Addressing a party meeting at Perisdanda on Saturday, Dahal told politburo members to share all their grievances in the party committees, and not outside.
“We need to sort all the organisational issues through this meeting even if it takes a few more days,” Dahal said, adding that the party would finalise the list of politburo members and devise a three-month plan to strengthen the party organisation.
The party is preparing to send all the leaders and cadres to the districts to prepare the ground for the local elections.
The organisation of the Maoist Centre is in a mess with the 2,500 members of the General Convention Organising Committee and more leaders fighting for key roles.
Dahal had said the party would focus on implementing the constitution by uniting all sections of the nation—Mountains, Hills and the Tarai.
The next meeting of the politburo is scheduled for Monday, following meetings of the party’s provincial committees on Sunday.
