Social worker builds crematorium in Syangja

With no proper crematorium people in several villages, including Saldanda of Kitchanas Village Development Committee, had to cremate the dead on the banks of Andherikhola.
Citing the difficulty, social worker Badri Manandhar of Kitchanas VDC-9, Saldanda in Syangja district spent Rs2.5 million to build the crematorium in memory of his father Mat Bahadur on the land donated by local Ekraj Pokhrel.
Over the years, Manandhar who runs a small family business in Mumbai has made donations for various welfare projects in Saldanda Village, including the reconstruction of the Chamunda Devi Temple.
