Yulin modern agriculture technology park
Yulin, the northernmost prefecture-level city of Shaanxi province, has a glorious revolutionary history and tradition. Home to almost four million inhabitants, the city boasts a 5,000 year-old history of Yanghao and Longshan culture, a 3,000-year history of frontier culture and a 400-year history of revolutionary culture. In 1986, it was listed as an important historical and cultural city., by the Chinese State Council, in 1986.
Yulin is also where Yellow River meets the Great Wall, and where the nomadic culture intersects with the Yellow River’s way of life. Besides history and culture, the city also boasts rich mineral resources along with recognition as the national energy and chemical base.
Also known as the national hi-tech industrial park, this site integrates science and technology with sustainable ecology. The park uses modern management means to promote development of modern agriculture.
Longzhou Danxia landscape park
Located in the Longzhou village, the landscape park is surrounded by rivers and mountains. The red rocks look stunning under the glow of rising and setting sun as well as when frosted with snow.
Shimao relics
With a history of 4000 years, the area, in 2006, was recognised as a national cultural heritage and by 2012, it was recognised as the World’s Important Archaelogical Discovery in the 21st century.
Jingbian energetic chemistry industrial park
This complex is key in the utilisation of coal, refinery residue, and associated dissolved natural gas to produce polyethylene and polypropylene. The site is qualified by the Chinese government for petroleum and natural gas exploration in China.
Jingbian Tongwancheng city relics
Tagged as the national cultural relics protection unit in 1996, the site offers important insights into Xiongnu era in China and boasts a history of 1600 years.
Jingbian photo-voltaic industrial park
Solar panels at the Jingbian Photo-voltaic Industrial Park. This pro clean energy park features initiation of projects concerning photo-voltaic industry.
Red rock canyon
n 350 metre long canyon. This is where the poets and soldiers once poured out their intimate musings and poetry. Yuxi river, known as the mother of Yulin river, flows across this canyon that is most beautiful under the sunset.
Zhenbei observatory
Located in the intersection of south and north, this is a military observatory built during the Ming dynasty. It is also known as one of the largest fortresses of the Great Wall.
Outside Yulin exhibition centre
Locals practise Tai Chi at Yulin Exhibition Centre premises. The centre condenses the past, present and future of this historic city into a striking exhibition with pictures, words and dioramas.
