In an attempt to break the mould, a host of women singers, from Pokhara, have united with the newly established group, Harmony.
The group, currently comprising a total of 16 artists, has geared up to organise concerts in various parts of the sub-metropolitan.
Izu Jojiju, coordinator of the group, speaking at a press meet organised to announce the inception of the group, informed that the concerts will be organised for a social cause.
“The funds raised from the concerts will be contributed to uplift the status of street children in Pokhara,” Jojiju informed. “The group is formed not to hold any protest but to put the power of women artists in use for a social cause.”
Pokhara is home to more than two dozens of Dohori and Ghazal restaurants. Jojiju informed that the group aims to reach out to the singers performing in those restaurants.
The concerts are set to kick off from late December.
