Senior journalist Hari Bahadur Thapa, the news editor of Kantipur daily, has been conferred with this year’s Dadhiraj Subedi Journalism. Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel handed over the award amid a function on Saturday. 

The Dadhiraj Subedi Puraskar Pratishthan decided to honour journalist Thapa in recognition of his contribution for the promotion of free and impartial journalism in the country. 

The award carries a purse of Rs25,000 and appreciation letter. Similarly, the foundation conferred Gobinda Raj Bhattarai with Dadhiraj Subedi Award in literature.
